29th Annual Cultural Night
February 16, 2015 Monday
Show starts at 7pm
Royce Hall

Since the 1986 Week of Remembrance, the annual Nikkei Student Union Cultural Night has served to commemorate President Roosevelt’s signing of Executive Order 9066, which led to the incarceration of 110,000 Japanese Americans across the West Coast into internment camps, as well as to spread Japanese American culture to the UCLA community and beyond.

The 29th Annual Cultural Night is an entirely student run production featuring NSU Odori, our traditional Japanese dance group, NSU Modern, the first Nikkei dance group, Kyodo Taiko, the first collegiate Taiko drumming group, and V-TONE, our a cappella vocal group. Our performance groups will be brought together by a student-written drama aimed to deliver a cultural message. This year, our drama will take you somewhere that perhaps no past Cultural Night ever has. Come join us on February 16th, 2015 at UCLA’s Royce Hall for a Cultural Night full of surprises!
